Adult students have a new outlet for creative expression

The Art Institute of Houston will launch its comprehensive, career-focused bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs in an Evening and Weekend format in the Summer Quarter starting July 14, 2008. The program is designed to provide working adults who cannot attend class during traditional business hours the opportunity to complete their education through a combination of evening, weekend, and online courses.
The Art Institute of Houston will offer bachelor’s degree programs in Culinary Management, Interior Design, Web Design & Interactive Media, as well as an associate’s degree program in Culinary Arts in the Evening and Weekend format.
“We meet many potential students who are trying to find a way to balance working and going to school,” said Ken Pascal, Dean of Academic Affairs at The Art Institute of Houston. Pascal added, ”The Evening and Weekend format provides excellent education choices for working adults, allowing them to pursue their goal of a career in an applied arts or culinary field through a convenient schedule that fits their busy lives.”
At the time of registration, students will be advised of the classes that will be offered online in their program. Students will have the option of taking any online courses on-ground at the school, if offered. Students will be able to take a minimum of two on-ground courses each quarter. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
