The Art Institute of Houston is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified students. It is the sole responsibility of the student to alert The Art Institute of Houston regarding any disabilities for which accommodations are required. In order to ensure appropriate accommodations, students must provide documentation. Documentation is a written report by an appropriate professional, which must include a definite diagnosis and functional limitations associated with the diagnosis. Confidentiality of records is required by law, and all documentation is held within the office of Transitional Studies. Requests for accommodations or adjustments in aids, alternatives, written testing or accessibility should be directed to the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Student or faculty grievances regarding compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendment of 1972 or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 should be directed in person or in writing to the President.
